   I am thoroughly pleased with how Fuchsia's beautiful daughter Scarlet is maturing. This doeling is huge and growing quickly. I am very very happy with her progress. I believe she will be big enough to breed this fall for a Spring 2010 kidding. She is uphill as you can see, long and wide too. She's angular, sharp shoulders and dairy. She has great spring of ribbing as well. I cannot wait to see this doe freshen. Her dam is one of the most structurally correct does I've come across. She is exceptionally wide and has perfect feet and legs. Her udder is lovely but could use a little more height in the rear and slightly larger teats, but she lacks nothing in foreudder blending, capacity and medial. The crossing with Revelation brings in Faith and I hope that this results in an udder similar to Faith's. This doeling has already won on confirmation, so its just to see that udder!
     Scarlet's dam is our lovely gold doe named Caesar's Villa FL Fuchsia. Fuchsia has mainly produced bucks in her life. She's the dam of 15 kids thus far and only 3 have been doelings. So Scarlet is even more valuable in my breeding program due to her dam's few daughters produced. Scarlet is out of our own SGM S Faith's Revelation who is out of Caesar's Villa P Faith by Caesar's Villa P Stedman *S. This crossing is one of my favorites this year. I was very eager to see how Faith's son would cross with Fuchsia and so far the results are astounding. She is one spectacular doe!
     Scarlet is planned to Remy for her first freshening. Depending on how many does we are looking at freshening in the Spring, we may be holding our juniors over till the fall to kid out. So timing is subject to change.

You should feel the soft texture on this girl's udder! She is so easy to milk and one of my favorites! Her teats are a big improvement over her dam's and her udder expresses so easily. I really enjoy milking Scarlet. I cannot wait to see her second freshening and am hoping the added capacity will make her just stunning! She was only a week fresh above, and her capacity has already increased. I am anxious to see how she'll look in another few weeks.
