Revelation is
going to stay! I decided to look at the herd a little more closely and
see if it was possible to keep Rev here and what I discovered is that
with the addition of several new does, there really is room for him in
my breeding program to continue. I'm thrilled because I absolutely love
this buck. I haven't had much opportunity in the past to really prove
him due to having so many does related to him but this year helped to
justify his staying.
Revelation's dam,
Caesar's Villa P Faith is a gorgeous doe who has a beautifully shaped,
well attached udder with beautiful height and width in the rear
attachments and foreudder blending. Teat size is big and easy milking
with large orifices. She's a stunning doe. I retained Revelation from
Faith as well as 3 daughters, see
Hallelujah (Rev's littermate sister),
Patience and
Serenity.
Rev's first
daughter to freshen is a huge improvement over her dam. She has much
larger teats which have greatly increased orifice size and the udder is
butter soft texture. I'm extremely pleased. I'm anxious to see her
second freshening to see if her capacity greatly increases. Her dam was
slow to mature and therefore its possible she maybe too, but already
she's a huge improvement. Next year should be the tell tale on capacity
for her.
So I'm thrilled
to say Revelation gets to stay. I've already lined up three does to
breed him to for 2011. There maybe more too! Thanks for those who've
considered him for their herds. I can't be happier that he gets to stay
though. He maybe available in the future if/when my buck herd gets too
big for my liking.
