Oh
my gosh is all I can say. I was almost ready to sell Raven and then I
decided to clip her. Well she thoroughly shocked me! Boy am I glad I
didn't sell her. She is absolutely fabulous! She is long, level, super
wide and correct. High wide escutcheon and correct feet and legs. She
looks already like a huge improvement over her dam. I am thrilled with
how she has filled out! She will not be bred this fall for a spring
kidding. I believe she'll be around the right size after she turns one
year old. So look for her first babies in the summer/fall of 2009.
If any one of the kids we retained this year was a
challenge its Raven! This doeling detests being handled at all. I really
hope to show her this fall but with her personality I don't know if
we'll succeed. I've been working with her daily and have managed to
really calm her down with being set-up. Walking on lead is still a
problem. We're trying and think she's worth the effort. Wish us luck,
we're going to need it!
