This beauty is Olympia. She is Hera's daughter by Rue. I chose to retain her since we only got one Zeus daughter and Hera was as close as I could get to Zeus. They're littermates. So she's retained. Olympia is a hoot, she is personality plus and just a goof ball. I totally love this little doe. I am thrilled she's a keeper. She's a super model in appearance and with her sweetness she's got it all!

Olympia is long and lean. She has that extremely long dairy neck, long legs, length of body and is uphill. She's pretty wide and angular. I am extremely anxious to watch her mature and see her udder!

I am planning Olympia to Revelation at this point in time. She is getting close to ready to be bred. So far I would like just a little more size on her first. Hera's udder was pretty nice and I think she'll look even better in another freshening. I'm anxious to see the Rue daughter's freshen. Secrets, Raven and Olympia are my Rue daughters. I chose Revelation just to add more rear udder height and attachments.

I dreamed Hallelujah would join us and she did! Faith gave birth to a very similar doeling last year who we lost sadly to silent pneumonia. I was so sad and so was Faith. She wanted more babies and this time she made sure to have plenty! Hallelujah is one of quadruplets and she has 3 brothers one of which is retained. Her other two brothers died at birth when their cords had broken before being born. She and her brother Revelation are both extremely healthy and vibrant babies.

Hallelujah is beautiful but what makes her a keeper is her lovely confirmation and genetics. Her dam freshened this year with a GORGEOUS huge capacious udder. We had planned to retain a doe anyway, but this only confirmed it!

For 2009 we have bred Hallelujah to River. Revelation is her littermate brother so that was obviously out, but this crossing to River was a given anyway. Her dam, Faith, is also bred to River. I would love to keep a doe from both. The potential out of these two girls is outstanding!

Gwen is a rotten bottle baby. She was a single when she was born and it was already determined her dam was going to be sold because she was not a milker. Not that she lacks the qualities in her udder to be a milker, her temperament was not that of a milker. So we put Gwen on a bottle to make the sale and switch easier.

Gwen is our first Cruiser daughter. We thought we would have a couple more throughout the year but as it turns out she's our only Cruiser daughter. Therefore her being a permanent fixture in our herd was definite. She is also my daughter's "choice" and pet so she won't be leaving.

You can see above that she's structurally correct. She's also wide and uphill. She's angular, and all around correct. I cannot wait to see her as a yearling.

For 2009 Gwen will be bred to River most likely for a fall kidding if she is big enough by then. Gwen's dam Petite has a very nice udder. She has the classical v-shape and a nice medial. Her teats are large and easy to milk if you can milk them. I chose River to add additional height and more a more rounded udder. Cruiser's dam, Selene has a very rounded udder so Gwen should be gorgeous.

This beautiful doe is out of Larkspur's first litter! Twin does! Both happened to be blue-eyed as well. I'm loving these odds, hope they continue. She is long, level and wide. Just like her sister. I had a tough decision which to keep and decided to keep Jasmine. Her sister is stunning and slightly bigger and both girls are fabulous and should do very well in the show ring!

Jasmine is wide and solid. She's so far showing great things inherited from Larkspur. I think she will be one nice little doe.

Jasmine, just like Gwen will be bred in the late spring for a fall 2009 kidding. I have her planned to River just like Gwen. It will be interesting to see the differences in their udders.
