This stunning doe is
Faith. She came to us in the Spring of 2007 and was a quiet, shy doe
without any self confidence. After freshening for the first time in the
Fall of 2007 she quickly changed. Faith has steadily rose in our herd to
be herd queen now. A well deserved title for a doe as nice as Faith is!
Faith freshened with a snuggly attached first
freshening udder in the Fall of 2007, however, with the loss of her doe
kid to silent pneumonia she was dried off and we didn't get to evaluate
it further that year. In 2008 she gained the capacity and shocked us! I
have been thoroughly pleased with Faith's udder and sweet demeanor too.
Faith has very sharp shoulders, width throughout, rear angulation, and
loads of dairy character. She's uphill and has correct feet and legs.
She has excellent height and width to her udder and great attachments,
huge easy to milk teats with large orifices and knows she's a dairy
goat!
Faith is quickly became our foundation doe. I have
retained her son and daughter from 2008
Hallelujah and
Revelation. I
have also retained her two daughters from 2009,
Patience and
Serenity. I am also keeping her
grandson
Crescendo as well as some other grandbabies by her son
Revelation.
Hallelujah
freshened extremely similar to her dam Faith and is already a fantastic
yearling. I couldn't be more pleased. I will be getting more photos
throughout the year of Faith and her offspring. Be sure to watch the
updates come for her daughters Patience and Serenity out of
River.
Faith has
now moved on to a good goat friend's farm. She will be deeply missed here
but we know she'll be cherished there. Since Faith was one of my
favorite goats and has made such an impact on our herd, this page will
remain as reference to her and her influence in our herd.
