Echinacea has grown quite a lot since the
photos above and below. She's maturing really nicely. Her dam, Little
Tot's Estate Minuet freshened with a gorgeous well attached udder. Long
plumb easy to milk teats and beautiful foreudder blending. I am very
pleased. Her second freshening added more capacity but kept the
beautiful shape and attachments of her first freshening. Take a look
below. Echinacea's sire, Kids Corral PT Cruiser has already improved one
daughter with more height and width in the rear. See
Gwen's page
for photos of her first freshening udder! This combination should be
fantastic!
I have been back and forth on whom to breed Echinacea
to. In order to best work with her lines and to produce what we hope are
excellent kids. I decided to use River for her first breeding because he
has given me some extremely nice kids already. Uphill, wide and have
excellent feet and legs. Echinacea is already a huge improvement over
her dam in feet and legs, and this crossing should only strengthen that.
Echinacea will be
for sale after kidding, or possibly as a bred doe. Just ask. Her lines
are great, but our herd works with slightly different lines and that's
the only reason I'm planning to sell her. She is not a very friendly doe
at this point, but we think the pregnancy will also calm her down. I
think she has the potential to be a great milker and a great addition to
another herd. Updated pictures coming soon!
